Everyone,
I will send a final reminder about Indianapolis out Tuesday, but I do have a couple last minute reminders:
Monday Practice 5:30 – 9 pm
WINDS – BRING YOUR UNIFORM COAT/CAPE…WE ARE FINALLY ADDING THE VISUALS!!!!
For the trip:
1. Please read the entire packet we handed out last week/emailed out. There is a note about bringing a snack/breakfast item depending on last name. Please bring your item to check in.
2. Please pack into 1 suitcase and remember your FULL AND COMPLETE UNIFORM (put black socks in your uniform bag so you don’t forget them). You will need to bring your uniform to check in and be sure to have it hung up properly, etc. (shako boxes too).
3. Luggage Check will be Wednesday at 5 pm at Lakeland. Unload at the bottom of the curb by band loading dock area, but please do not block driveway. Parents – please stay with your student through check in like band camp.
4. Leaving a car at Lakeland – Students who drive can do so if you leave it in the student lot with a parking pass. No pass – do not leave a car. Chaperones leaving a car – leave it in the front VISITOR spots below the bus lot only! Do not park in band lot or student lot please.5. Parents – I love working with your kids, and they are great kids, but please take the time to remind them just how important it is to behave, follow school rules, and not jeopardize our future trips. I count on our students to make the right decisions and I would appreciate a follow up conversation at home prior to the trip.
Reminders for beyond this week:
1. Tuesday, November 16 – WLMS Band Concert at LHS for the HVMB Winds and Battery at 7:15 pm to “flash mob” the concert.
2. Monday, November 22 – 6 – 8 pm – HVMB Parade practice for all winds/battery/guard at LHS.
3. Parades: Milford Holiday Parade – Saturday, November 27 at 11 am (report to Muir MS at 10 am)Pontiac Holiday Parade – Saturday, December 4 at 10 am (report to Pontiac at 9 am…details will be shared out later with exact locations)
4. Banquet:
Saturday, December 4 from 3 – 6 pm (same day as Pontiac Parade)…held at Milford Cafeteria…details will be shared out later)LAST ITEM: I have about 8 Seniors who have turned in pictures. There are 30 of you :(I’d like to have all of you included in the slide show for banquet. Please? It means a lot to me and the rest of the band family 🙂
