Weekly Reminders for Week of 10-04-2021 and Novi Show

HVMB Families:

Hello! What an awesome weekend!!! Thank you to all the parents who came out Friday and Saturday to help, and thank you band for another great run at Lamphere! I am so proud of the band! I know it is awesome winning these shows, and if you are new, or even returning, I want to stress that while it is so great to win a competition, we know the road ahead is tough. ALL we can do is be our best, and continue to improve!!! I cannot promise anything other than my commitment to helping you all grow and have an amazing season ahead! Please keep working and give your best…it means a lot!!!

We have an almost duplicate week this week like last week, but we are now at Lakeland.
Saturday is a long day…bring a bag lunch and dinner, and be ready to use the whole day to prepare for NOVI.

For the following week: We practice Monday and Wednesday, and we end up back at Milford for their homecoming game with the FULL HVMB, and we are also doing the Milford Homecoming Parade downtown. I will talk more specifics and details on this during the week this week and address that day separately in it’s own email! That is Friday, October 15th.

Students – I had some complaints again about buses (water bottles being thrown on the bus at each other). I want to ask you all to remember you are representing our band at all times when you are at a band function, including the buses. I would appreciate it you all carry yourselves as professionals at all times and be respectful of each other, the chaperones, the buses, and have pride in your band. Please, we do not need to continue to have bus issues every single trip. The buses are a privilege. If we lose our buses, I suspect we will lose our ability to have a season. I ask again, please stop with any issues on the buses or otherwise, and be as professional off the field as you are during your performances.

See you all tomorrow at 5:30 at Lakeland!
Mr. Green
