Greetings HVMB!
A couple of updates for this week (I will send out more details on next week/first football game for the HVMB and competition 🙂 at a later time)
- Wednesday 9/8 – We practice 5:30 – 9 at MHS. Please check the board for starting locations, and please come ready to work! Lots to do in a short amount of time!!! Please realize that moving forward, we have to have the band room clean after every practice…we have band classes each day and need to take care of the band room!!! Front Ensemble – you will see at practice where I have everything placed for storage locations after each practice. Please assist me in making sure it gets returned to these designated spots. Winds/battery/guard – my expectation is that instruments will go home with you for the time being. We will attempt to get lockers assigned and situated by next week!
- Saturday 9/11 – We have practice from 9 am – 5 pm. Please be on time, bring a bag lunch, plenty of water, sunblock/hats, etc, and be ready to get a full day on the opener and ballad split up and some full ensemble on both for as well!!! This is a huge day for us heading into week 1 of competitions and football game performances.
SENIORS – after practice we are taking you to Press and Scoop for ice cream since we didn’t get to go at camp…you are NOT required to come, but please do if you want/can 🙂 We will go up there at 5 pm.

Monday 9/13 – Seniors report at 4 pm for senior poster shoot, practice 5:30 – 9 for everyone
Wednesday 9/15 – practice from 5:30 – 9 for everyone
Friday 9/17 – First HVMB football game/LHS Pep Band
Pep report at 6 pm to LHS Band Room
HVMB people report at 6:45 pm to the LHS Band Room to assemble/coordinate
Saturday 9/18 – Sparta Invitational (report to MHS at 8 am). We will practice in morning and depart around lunch for Sparta. We perform at approximately 4 pm. We will eat concessions for dinner and watch awards, and then depart for home. Arrival back home will be approximately 9 pm.
