Welcome to the 2026 season of the Huron Valley Marching Band! 🎉 Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you as part of the program.
Email updates for the season will come from HVEnsembles@gmail.com and will have the subject line beginning with “2026 HVMB”. Please be sure to watch for these communications throughout the season, as this is one of our primary ways of sharing important updates.
Season Kickoff Overview
Below are the key highlights and reminders shared at the kickoff meeting, along with important next steps for the season.
📅 Important Dates & Practice Information
- 🥁 Practices begin June 1–3
- Color Guard begins June 1
- All other sections (including guard) begin June 3
- 📍 All early-season rehearsals will take place at Milford High School
- 🏟️ After band camp, rehearsals will move to Lakeland High School for the remainder of the season

📄 Forms, Paperwork & Deadlines
- 📌 June 15: First packet of forms + first payment due
- 📌 July 15: Second packet of forms due
- 📥 Forms may be submitted to:
- 🔴 Red Box (Lakeland Band Room)

- 🖊️ The Parent & Student Approval Form must be notarized in order to allow emergency medical authorization during travel and events
- 🗓️ Notary support will be available at upcoming rehearsals prior to the June 15 deadline
👨👩👧 Communication & Community
- 📧 Please ensure all family email addresses are added to our distribution list if needed
- 📱 Families are encouraged to join the Huron Valley Marching Band Facebook group for updates, photos, and community discussion
- 📸 Student-run social media accounts (including Drum Major pages) are also available for members to follow season content
🎯 For New Families
We understand there is a lot of information at the start of the season. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions at any time—whether about scheduling, payments, expectations, or how the program operates. We are here to help make the transition into marching band as smooth as possible.
Marching band is an incredibly rewarding experience that builds friendships, discipline, and lasting memories, and we are excited to welcome everyone into the program.
